Our Process
No machines. No shortcuts. Just fire, steel, and craftsmanship the old way.

- 1. Source the Steel
Every blade starts as raw stock — often a real railroad spike, sometimes high carbon bar steel. No pre-shaped blade blanks.
- 2. Forge
The steel is heated in the forge and hammered into a rough blade shape by hand, one heat at a time.
- 3. Grind & Shape
Once the profile is forged, the blade is ground to its final shape and bevel, front and back.
- 4. Heat Treat
The blade is hardened and tempered to give it the right balance of edge retention and toughness for real work.
- 5. Handle & Finish
A handle is fitted and finished by hand, and the blade gets its final edge before it's ready to ship.
