About Savage Steel

Savage Steel is a one-person blacksmith shop. My name is Lorentz and I am 14 years old. Every knife that leaves the forge is hand made by me, from start to finish — no factories, no assembly lines, no shortcuts.

I love to make knives, and it started the same way a lot of people find their hobbies. The idea of making knives had always appealed to me; it had always seemed like something that would be fun to do. So, after building and designing my coal forge, I decided it was past time that I tried it. At the time, I was 12 years old, and only in 7th grade! But age didn't stop me, after making dozens of knives, and needing a way to make money, I put two and two together and made a business. After all this time, I am still making knives, still forging, still grinding, still heat treating. Welcome to Savage Steel Knives.

These aren't collector pieces. They're tools, built the way tools used to be built: to last a lifetime and then some.
